ArkosPad
Some thoughts belong underneath other thoughts. ArkosPad puts notes in a tree where every node may itself be a whole document.
What it does
ArkosPad is a note-taking program built around a tree: the outline on the left, the text on the right. Every node carries its own formatted document, and nodes move without losing what is in them.
The editor does more than plain text — formatting, lists, embedded files. Files live inside the document rather than beside it, so a note and its attachment stay one thing.
If you want it, the bundled server keeps a collection in step across machines. If you do not, everything works locally — the server is an addition, not a requirement.
