Right of withdrawal for consumers

A consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly outside their trade, business or profession.

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is 14 days from the day the contract was concluded.

by means of a clear statement (for example a letter sent by post, or an email) of your decision to withdraw from this contract. You may use the model withdrawal form printed below, but you are not obliged to. To meet the withdrawal deadline it is enough that you send your communication concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Early expiry of the right of withdrawal for digital content

Every program offered here is digital content not supplied on a tangible medium: you receive a licence key by email.

Your right of withdrawal expires early if we have begun performance of the contract after you have

1. expressly consented to us beginning performance before the withdrawal period has expired, and
2. confirmed your knowledge that, by giving that consent, you lose your right of withdrawal once performance begins,

and we have provided you with confirmation of the contract on a durable medium (section 356(5) in conjunction with section 312f of the German Civil Code).

How that works here

On the product page, above the payment button, there is a checkbox. It is not pre-ticked. The payment button stays disabled until you tick it yourself. It reads:

I expressly request that performance of the contract begins before the withdrawal period expires. I understand that I lose my right of withdrawal once my licence key is sent.

Performance begins when your licence key is sent to your email address. Until that moment your right of withdrawal remains fully intact – keys are issued by hand, normally within 24 hours. If you withdraw during that time, we refund the full amount and issue no key.

The email carrying your key is at the same time the confirmation of the contract on a durable medium. It repeats your consent and the notice that the right of withdrawal has lapsed.

If you do not tick the box you cannot buy through this website. Write to info@bitgrund.de instead: we will then hold the key until the withdrawal period has run out, and your right of withdrawal stays untouched.

You do not have to buy anything in order to judge the software. Every paid program runs in full and without restriction for seven days, with no registration and no account.

Consequences of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day on which we receive notification of your withdrawal from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in no event will you be charged any fees for such reimbursement.

You owe us no compensation for the value of digital content. After an effective withdrawal you may no longer use the software; a licence key already issued will be revoked.
