Focus Viewer
Losing the line, reading the same sentence three times, dropping out after two paragraphs. Focus Viewer holds the place you are in.
What it does
Focus Viewer opens web pages and EPUB books in a Chromium view and lays over it the aids that actually change how reading goes. The passage you are on is marked — by sentence or by paragraph — so your eye does not lose the place.
Colours can be inverted, for when light text on a dark ground is calmer to read. And the text can be read aloud: either through the speech engine built into Windows or through an ElevenLabs voice if you have an account there.
Local files and web pages both work, through 'Open File' and 'Open Page'. They are treated the same — to the program a book and a long article are one thing.
